Dunn Gets Ellis Island Medal

Brig. Gen. Troy E. Dunn of the U.S. Air Force was a recent recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
The award was presented earlier this year by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations.

The organization was founded in 1984 to “not only celebrate the melting pot of American people, but to preserve Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, which representthe immigrant experience that characterizes America,” a statement said.

Brig. Gen. Dunn, a native of Oklahoma, is director of military force management policy, deputy chief of staff of manpower, personnel and services at the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force at the Pentagon.
